Head of Applications Services, Asia Service Centre Sun Life Financial

Uly is the IT Application Services Head of Sun Life Financial Asia Services Centre. He led the establishment of the Sun Life Asia RPA COE in early 2018 innovating the business model of the shared services by offering products as services in a subscription model. Additional products added to this model includes DevOps, Chatbot, Messaging, and API Platform. Uly is also the primary proponent of Agile at Sun Life Asia being the chairperson of the Agile board responsible for evangelizing and propagating consistent agile practices. Under his helm, Sun Life Financial Asia Service Center became a hub for innovation, championing effective use of IT services and facilities to meet business needs.

Uly has a rich experience in the business of technology both in the Philippines and the USA. Tucking under his belt a total of 20 years leading various IT companies from marketing & sales and application & infrastructure service delivery functions. He advocates digitalization and has led various teams into digital transformation. Uly has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Psychology from De la Salle University Manila.
