Sami Ammous is Vice President for East Asia and the Pacific at Avaya, responsible for growing Avaya’s business and presence in ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand, and Japan and Korea. Sami works closely with customers and the partner ecosystem to help them overcome digital transformation challenges to mitigate risk, accelerate innovation and drive business outcomes. Sami brings to the table a solid technical background with a rich understanding of business challenges in the C-suite. Since joining Avaya in 2006, Sami has held a number of strategic positions. Most recently, he headed the ASEAN business as Managing Director, before which he led the Sales and Engineering organization in Asia Pacific. As a top Avaya Sales Engineer, he was nominated to set up and lead the first Technology Office for the Global Growth Markets with the aim to help with the introduction and adoption of new products and solutions by the sales teams. Sami has provided technical and business consulting in digital transformation, as well as advice on technology adoption and emerging architectures to C-Suite leaders across the region. In addition to running the sales engineering teams, he has personally been engaged in transformation projects in telecom providers, financial services organizations, government bodies, and retail customers. Sami has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and holds several industry certifications. He has also completed several business consulting trainings, and is an active member of the MELA Network.
