Stephanie Guzik, MBA, BSN, RN, CHRC serves as The University of Texas Medical Branch’s Vice President, Patient Services & Patient Relations.
Stephanie leads UTMB’s initiative to implement patient care strategies that align with delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Stephanie and her team work to enhance patient experience by implementing best practices for patient engagement. She’s a key member of the strategic leadership team to foster quality assurance programs while modernizing the patient experience through the care continuum. Stephanie also oversees the Health System’s Patient Navigation department.
Prior to joining UTMB, Stephanie was the University Compliance Officer and the Associate Vice President for Research Compliance and Conflict of Interest for Rush System for Health in Chicago, IL. She has also served as the Research Integrity Officer at Rush and was adjunct faculty in its College of Nursing. She was a practicing critical care and interventional cardiology nurse with an expertise in sepsis.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Valparaiso University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Purdue University, and a certification in Healthcare Research Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association. Stephanie is adjunct faculty in the College of Nursing at UTMB. Stephanie was selected as one of 24 women health leaders in the nation by the Carol Emmott Foundation for the Fellowship Class of 2024.
