Chantel Johnson

Vice President, Primary Care, Pediatrics, & Care Continuum, Greater Silicon Valley Market Sutter Health

Chantel Johnson is the Vice President for Primary Care, Pediatrics, Care Continuum, and Gender Care for the Greater Silicon Valley Market in Sutter Health. She joined Sutter 10 years ago Chantel has served in several leadership positions within the organization as she gained larger responsibilities. Chantel holds her RN degree and PhD in nursing from the University of Washington. Experienced in both ambulatory and acute care, Chantel served in clinical leadership positions in neonatal intensive care units in the Seattle area prior to joining Sutter.

Chantel is also committed to service her community and profession. Chantel is on the leadership team of the Sutter Women’s Inclusion Resource Group. Chantel served on the board of directors for the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL) and has chaired multiple state committees. She mentors leaders through within Sutter and ACNL. She has spoken at state and national conferences on topics including women in healthcare leadership, the future of ambulatory care, and gender care programs. Chantel volunteers with the YWCA of Silicon Valley.

Outside of work, Chantel enjoys time at home with her family. She is most proud of her two adult daughters, who are confident young women. Her dogs, George and Pawl can be seen from time to time on Zoom calls.
