Rising from Walt Disney World Resort lifeguard to a senior executive for The Walt Disney World Company, Barry Jacobson’s career has taken him across the country and the globe. Now, Barry is the Chief Experience Officer of Barry Jacobson Consulting, a boutique advisory firm that specializes in supporting organizations and their efforts to bridge the gap between brand promise and operational excellence.
Barry's career, along with real-life customer interactions, has centered around creating exceptional and personalized customer experiences. His performance-driven skillset has brought successful innovation to major brands throughout his career including the Walt Disney Company, the Dallas Cowboys organization, ClubCorp, the leader in private club management, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, and Meeting Professionals International. Barry’s experience encompasses resort hospitality operations, group and convention sales and services, trade shows and large-scale conferences, food & beverage operations, special events, and private club management.
Barry’s international experience includes grand opening support for Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland. Barry was also on the launch team for Disney Cruise Line. Barry was named Corporate Planner/Producer of the Year by Event Solutions magazine for his role as the General Manager of D23 Expo, Disney’s first-ever fan exposition to 40,000 attendees. Recruited away from Disney, Barry went from the finest name in family entertainment to the greatest name in sports entertainment for America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys. This career milestone moved him to Dallas, TX in 2010 to join Legends as Vice President of Special Events for the Dallas Cowboys Football Club, overseeing all premium services for suites, private clubs, and corporate/stadium wide events. This included being a part of the team that hosted Superbowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium.
In 2013 Barry returned to Disney to create and launch Disney experiences to elevate the brand into the premium, luxury market while building and nurturing relationships with potential and existing customers. These premium experiences included:
Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
