Joe Smyth is Senior Vice President of R&D for Digital & AI at Genesys. Joe leads a team of over 350 AI practitioners and is Site Lead for Genesys Ireland. He has held senior management positions in Nortel and Cisco before co-founding Altocloud, a Galway based AI startup in 2013. Altocloud was acquired by Genesys in 2018. Joe holds more than 10 patents in Voice over IP, Unified Communications and AI and mentors a number of startups in Ireland.
