Tom Plug fell in love with HR, as he likes to put it, in the late nineties when he was a field manager for Dutch IT Company Pink Elephant. Since then he has held several HR roles like recruitment manager, HR manager and HR strategist in both profit and not-for-profit organizations. For over 12 years he has been working for KPN, the leading supplier of ICT services in The Netherlands. As lead HR Strategy & Innovation he has initiated, implemented and further developed the organization’s strategic HR program Future of Work, a more effective and employee centered alternative for the classic Sustainable Employability approach. Today Tom focuses on Employee Well-being and what he calls the Real Employee Experience: maximizing value of employment relationships by enabling and encouraging employees to thrive by giving room to their competences and curiosity, passions and purpose to complement those of their organizations.
