The rapper hasn’t joined a contact centre, but he has personally called users of his music streaming service, Tidal.

Jay Z bought Tidal for $56 million in March and now it has emerged that he has taken a hands-on approach to providing users of the music streaming service with an excellent customer experience.

Business Insider reports that the rapper has personally called up customers that use the service.

Tidal executive Vania Schlogel told Business Insider that one of the fans that received a phone call from Jay Z exclaimed: "This is the best customer service call I’ve ever received!"

And the rapper isn’t the only one calling the customers personally, other high-profile musicians on the website, such as White Stripes’ Jack White, have also joined in on the hands-on approach.

While you likely won’t have a major celebrity such as Jay Z at your disposal to call up your customers and elevate their experience, this news does highlight the importance of people across the entirety of your company to personally interact with customers – from customer service representatives to the executive team – to better understand the people you’re delivering a service or product to while at the same time delighting them with an excellent customer experience.
